In-Person Information Session – Thurs. Sept. 7th
It is our pleasure to invite you to our Informatics Skunkworks Information Session on Thursday September 7th from 4:30-5:30 pm in 1410 Engineering Drive, room 175.
Machines that “think” are transforming our world by mastering tasks once thought to be restricted to humans, from displacing the champions of chess, go, and Jeopardy to translating millions of pages of text to driving a car. Imagine what these thinking machines might do for science and engineering! The Informatics Skunkworks is a primarily undergraduate group dedicated to realizing the potential of machine learning and informatics for science and engineering.
Remote Information Session – Friday Sept. 8th
For remote participants or anyone that can’t make the in-person session, we’ll also host a virtual version of the meeting via Zoom on Friday September 8th, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
If you are interested in research projects in this area please come and learn more. No background is required. If you are already active in the Skunkworks please come by to talk to possible new participants and get an update on plans for the Fall semester. If you have any questions, please contact Ben Afflerbach (bafflerbach@wisc.edu) directly.
